A Brief History

M&R Airflow was formed in 1979 by Richard Elbro to fulfil a need within the building services industry for a sub-contract ductwork installation company to facilitate the installation of ductwork services within all types of new and refurbished buildings. In 2002 M&R Airflow became a limited company when Richard Elbro and Jonathon Short combined their knowledge, experience, business acumen and enthusiasm to form a formidable partnership. With their joint experience of over 50 years in the ductwork design, fabrication and installation industry they have the knowledge and expertise to provide solutions for any client’s requirements.
Always in close communication with their clients, it became evident that M&R Airflow was not only successfully meeting, but exceeding, its customer’s expectations, with conscientious and efficient service giving consideration to budget, time frame and service. M&R Airflow was awarded Mowlem plc’s subcontractor of the year award 2004, for quality of service.

Clients repeatedly requested that M&R Airflow offer additional support services to the operations already established. Based on this requirement the directors were keen to build a company capable of supporting their customer’s needs with new skills and services that compliments their existing business. In the past 3 years they have extended the services offered to include thermal insulation, small electrical works, testing and commissioning. These services have now become an integral part of the M&R experience.

In January 2007 Martin Masters joined M&R Airflow as business development director, he brought with him a wealth of knowledge and 20 years experience in the building services industry. His ability to listen to customers requirements, offer advice, discuss budgets, present multiple proposals/solutions, offer technical advice and provide quotations within required time frames further enhances the support services offered by M&R Airflow.
